Tuning

As an audio engineer and musician, I understand the importance of purity in the tuning and feel of any instrument, especially the piano. When purity is reached, the musician is in control and the audience is in awe. My satisfaction comes when I can experience the process of working on a piano, bringing it out of dissonance to a state of harmony with itself and its player. Finally, I thrive on your satisfaction with the sound and feel of your prized instrument.

Pitch Raise

If it has been more years than you’d like to admit for your last tuning (Even within 2-3 years), your piano will most likely require a pitch raise. At this point, the piano is not accustomed to being in tune, and because of the 18-20 tons of pressure that the strings are under, it will relax somewhat toward where it was before being tuned. But after a pitch raise and final tuning that day, it should be on course to hold well, as long as it is in good shape otherwise. Then we can establish a regular tuning schedule to maintain its excellent feel and sound. It happens. We have all been there and we all have a lot going on in our lives

Minor Repairs

Many issues can arise as a piano ages. Whether it be sticky keys, inoperative soft or sustain pedals, and notes that don’t sound right or are missing altogether, there are solutions to those problems and I can help! All it takes is a brief assessment of the problem area and a procuring of the correct tools and parts needed for the repair. I will find the right parts with Schaff Piano Supply and get your piano back in working order.
